NEWLYreleased photos showing President George W Bush’s reaction to the devastatingSeptember 11 attacks reveal the true shock of his darkest day.

Theimages, released under a Freedom of Information Act request, reveal thepresident’s movements on the day, from an elementary school in Florida, wherehe first heard about the attacks, to Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, andback to the White House.

Theimages were taken by former White House photographer Eric Draper, who told KOB he was“documenting a nightmare”.
