India is facing several problems just like any other nation. Some of problems are the legacies of our long past while some problems are emerging due to fusion of Indian culture with the west. Most problems are relating to our poverty, which is still quite prent despite one of the highest growth rates in the world. Let me summarize some of the major problems in India.

I must say that poverty is the mother of all problems in India. Despite all propaganda, the fact remains that we are still one of the poorest nation of the world. For example, the part capita income of India is hardly $1700 while any developed country (like USA) has per capita of more than $50,000, which is more than 30 times higher. Even though this gap is reducing, but it is going to take several decades before we can come any close to a developed country.

Connected with poverty comes corruption. It is a fact that most honest countries of the world are also the most prosperous countries, while the poorest countries are the most corrupt. Due to corruption, the benefits of the social welfare schemes do not reach to the poor people and they can’t grow with rest of India.

The concept of caste comes from our history and culture. Caste is a hard reality of India and still believed by most of the Indians. The attempt to give reservation to the lower castes to balance the historical injustice is creating its own set of problems. The caste factor is exploited by Indian politicians in elections by dividing the society for their selfish gain.

The politicians of no country are respected for their virtues. However, the image if Indian politicians can’t be matched. They are so much concerned about themselves that they prefer to paralyze the government in power rather than helping them to do any good thing for the country.

Indian bureaucrats are perceived to be one of the most arrogant, corrupt and inefficient in the world. They are often called ‘babus’ in derogatory manner because they work like clerks rather than like officers or a public servant. The job security given to them under the Constitution of India makes it almost impossible to remove them.

India is a country with wide diversity in culture, language and religion. While our aim to have ‘unity in diversity’, the reality is not so. There are conflicts and indifference between different groups which dissipate most of our productive energies. Indians do not have common issues or principles that are respected and followed by everyone. Indian politicians always exploit the diversity to divide and rule the people.

It is also a fact that most Indians lack scientific factors and they are still trapped in their past glory. Most Indians falsely believe in the mythologies overlooking the scientific evidences to the contrary. It is difficult to talk rationality in India as most Indians get offended when you question their old believes. You can’t move forward with fast pace, unless you are willing to leave the dead weight of irrational thoughts.

The quality of education in India is quite pathetic in government schools. You can’t fail anyone till class 8. The result is that there are students who have passed class 8 but can’t even write their name correctly or do a simple mathematical sum. The quality of higher education also leaves much to be desired. There may be a large number of graduates in India in all disciples, but their quality is pathetic. You can’t become a great country with such poor human resources.

Cooking habits!
Indians (especially women) spend a lot of time in cooking. One thing that most of the Indians would never compromise is food. Morning coffee, breakfast, lunch, refreshments in the evening and finally dinner. This is how the daily routine of most women and some men in India is. Thus we lose an insanely high number of valuable brains in the kitchen and in the serving tables without even realising it. This is a big hit and backlog to the country and it is really surprising that it's not talked about much.

Domestic challenges
Indians are so tightly packed with domestic challenges that we find very less time to think about personal growth and enlightenment. Our traffics in the cities are horrible and most of our cars are still manual, which makes us tired even before we reach the office. Same happens in the evening. We reach home late and go to sleep and the same tasks repeat for the next 4 days of the week. And weekends are like saviours that sleep and rest are the only 2 things we would need. And thus we don't find the mental strength to think about persuading our personal goals or concentrating on self growth.

Besides a countable number of emerging big billion dollar firms, India is sadly still a poor country (at least most of us Indians are). And the society pushes us to run for money to pay the school fees for our kids, to build our own house, to have some savings in our account for Daughter's marriage, to buy a new car, for mutual funds and so on. Thus, we are kept in a constant fear of wanting money, that stops us from thinking anything beyond just our job.

The minimum salary of an Australian citizen is $4000 per month for a full-time job. This includes being a worker in a grocery shop. Whereas, the average living cost in Sydney is roughly $1500 per month. And a decent second hand car would cost somewhere around $2500. So it is possible for an Australian citizen to buy a used car besides all his monthly expenses. Whereas in India, we could never imagine this at least for the next 50 years. A person who works in a grocery shop could never satisfy his monthly needs unless someone else in the family works. This gives no space for growth.

This is crucial. Do you feel normal while you walk on the road with your wife and 4 men head towards you with loud laughters? Do you feel safe to stop your vehicle for a guy who shoves his hand at midnight on an abandoned road? Do you think it's a good idea to wear a golden chain or to have a wallet full of money in a crowded train? Do you feel okay to post a picture of you and your wife playing in the beach on your Facebook wall? Do you nod a 'yes' without any hesitation when your daughter wants to wear a short dress for the party? Until we get a BIG YES for all these questions from most of us, EVERYTHING is a problem! The reasons for the answers of all these questions being NO is again with us. Until people and their mentality are changed, nothing really changes in the country!

Biggest problem with India
Let’s start at the very beginning – Man has beliefs and values, which affect his behavior and actions. Many of one’s actions – sometimes even those with good intentions result in social evil (corruption, poverty, lack of integrity, etc.) The key to address these issues is to identify the root cause of these problems. For example: Corruption is due to want of excess money (greed) which is not rightfully mine. All the above problems can be traced back to poor value
systems and beliefs, which is India’s biggest problem. In fact all the above problems are actually symptoms of misplaced values.

get past these ‘appropriate laws’, and behave in accordance with their belief systems.

3) Be an example; inspire others

Major Problem of India are Indians itself
It’s a controversial post against the Nationalism you can name me as Anti-national. But, I’m frustrated with the patriotism of the people against the petty issues ignoring the major concerns of the society.
When you don’t stand for the National anthem in the movie theaters, The so-called Patriots will come and beat you black and blue.
But, I never saw the same Patriots fighting with the government against the

I think there's only one problem India is facing today i.e. EDUCATION SYSTEM.
A Person who had studied in a local college scored 90% in his degree final year don't have knowledge about the subject itself. As it has not been taught to them because the professors who teach them don't even know about the subject but still they are appointed to teach them.
If the student don't have knowledge then "HOW WILL THEY GET A JOB"

70% local engineering colleges are shit. Being an engineering student i have experienced that only 1 out of 20 teachers in a department know how to teach, others teach us how to memorise.
