From Sep 29 to Oct 1, the first three days of the eight-day Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, China's domestic trips totaled 395 million, an increase of 75.8% year-on-year. Domestic tourism revenue reached 342.24 billion yuan ($46.9 billion), up 125.3% year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The problem is still consumption. In general the Chinese populace are only spending on food and travel.
It's a family holiday so hotels won't get such a boost as people travel home to be with their families. And most cooking is done at home.
Anyone who claims the Chinese economy is now on the up is just pushing propaganda. All meaningful measures point to the opposite, amd it'll be 6 months until we can see any change in direction of the economy.
This isn't just china though. Korean and Germany are the other 2 big economies stuck in a rut and gradually shrinking because their economic development for the past 2 decades, like china's, was very lopsided.
How the three governments react will be telling. So far none of the three have made meaningful progress to changing their economies outlook.

Actually, during the National Day holiday, Chinese folks were really pumped up about traveling. During the holiday season, five-star hotel bookings in Guangzhou grew the fastest, doubling from 2019. In Kunming, hotel bookings increased 3.3 times from 2019.
