Likewise, they’re reporting on other chemical releases like the factory in Florida because everyone is currently interested in chemical spills.
This happens all the time in the media. Something big happens to draw viewership so they start reporting on related stories that gives the unknowledgeable the impression there is some sort of sudden wave of whatever the problem is. But it’s nothing new.
