In India, men can hold each other’s hands. This is just close friendship.
At the railway platform, you may hear the announcement that the train will arrive at the right time. Yet, it pulls into the station several minutes beyond the scheduled time. 10–15 minutes here and there is considered okay for trains.
The car may be several years old but the polythene covering on the seats may still be intact.
Wedding ceremony lasting several days. Everyone is exhausted by the end, especially the bride and the groom.
Swastika is a sacred Hindu symbol. It symbolises Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles. You can find it in most homes and shops. Also during festivals.
Cracking open a coconut before driving a new car or entering a new house.
Having coloured hands and faces. This happens in the days after Holi - the festival of colours.
Henna-dyed hair.
The time Indians devote to preparing food. Most families will only have freshly prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner - all of which may be very elaborate.
Late and heavy dinners. Anything before nine is early.
Eating with hands
Sitting cross-legged on floor to have food.
Staring at anyone who looks out of place. And men don’t just stare at women.
Wetting every wall. Many men can’t hold on till they find a loo.
We’re okay with very little personal space.
Queue doesn’t necessary mean single line.

In Turkey, these things are normal:
1-) Cleaning the house before the housekeeper arrives.
Because Turks feel like, welcoming someone when your house is dirty is something to be ashamed of, it is disrespectful. So even if Turks call a housekeeper to ask him/her clean their house, they clean their houses partly, before housekeepers.
2-) Watching heavy equipment (work machines), and construction are our national hobbies. We love it so much.
Turks like watching heavy equipment/work machines while they are working. More than any movie.
3-) Argue or even fight to pay the bill(s) at restaurants.
After eating their meals, every Turk feels like they need to pay the bill. And they start a battle to pay the bill. They really insist on each other. Sometimes, it can cause serious problems.
4-) Turks drive their cars towards people they know to greet when they see them on the street.
5-) Trying to repair broken technological devices by hitting them is not unusual in Turkey.
6-) Turks can decorate everything with lace.
7-) Turks put the spoon on the glass/cup. It means: I will not drink more tea. Turks do it when they are in a cafe, or during a visit.
8-) When Turks go to a concert, cinema, or a theater, they count the seats and then calculate how much organizers earn.
9-) When Turks see that their friends have brand new shoes, they step on these shoes. It is something like ‘enjoy your new shoes’. It is a superstition.
It is about this evil eye belief in Turkey. if something is new and looks perfect, people may stare at it, they envy, be jealous of you. Then their negative-evil energy will affect you badly, and something bad things will happen to you.
To prevent it from happening, your friend steps on your new shoes and makes them a little dirty, and your enemies will not envy or feel jealous of you. And you are safe from evil eyes.

There is a city known as ‘’Batman’’ in Turkey. It does not get its name from Batman's story. It's just a coincidence.
11-) Having an Evil Eye amulet tree in gardens. And everywhere…
Haven’t you ever seen Evil eye amulet trees? Turkey has a habitat of owning them. They give blue weird fruits.
No, I am just kidding. It is still about the evil eye belief though.
It does not matter whether it works, Turks just need it there, and much like how a child clings to a comfort blanket, the (evil eye) Nazar Boncu?u provides peace of mind. And a lot of people also use them only as decoration. Not every Turk believes it works.
It is said that when the evil eye cracks, it has done its job of protecting you.
And Nazar Boncu?u/evil eye amulets are everywhere in Turkey. This is something you can only see in Turkey:

The water quality is 500% and so when we visit other countries we are dying because the water tastes so bad there
We are taught from a young age that we should never ever ever step on the moss and if you do then u deserve to burn in hell (ok maybe not but that’s the idea)
Everyone hates Justin Bieber for that music video he did. (+We had to close down the park a part of it was shot in because the tourists were tearing up the moss.)
In winter we all wear the thickest coats you’ll see while still trying to stay fashionable and we all look giant

Although Australia is considered your “typical white country” by many, we still have quirks that make the whole world tilt their head and think “What the F*ck?" For example:
We have a tradition called a “shoey”- which is were you drink beer out of a dirty shoe.
Bars are required to have stables, water and food for horses.
We call friends "cunts" and people we dislike "mates".
Life sentences cannot be over 25 years.
Repairing a fence because a kangaroo tried jumping over it and failed.
School is from February to December, so we have Christmas and New Year’s eve during our annual break.
Petting zoos having kangaroos, wallabies and emus which you can feed and play with for something like 5 bucks an hour.
Deadly spiders everywhere. The week before writing this answer, I actually removed a huntsman from my backyard so my dog couldn't eat it. I ended up throwing the fucker over the fence and into my neighbors house (by accident of course).
Having Christmas at the beach. Since Australian summer is during December- people go to the beaches in swarms on Christmas Day to open presents and have barbecues.

Smelling smoke from a far way bushfire when going outside.
Having no idea what “political correctness is” and saying anything on our minds.
We say ‘Yeah, nah’ instead of No, and ‘Nah, yeah’ instead of “Yes”.
Children aren't allowed to purchase cigarettes, but there is no law specifically stating that they cannot smoke them.
Not being able to go outside during lunch break at school because you forgot your hat.
Having extremely wide roads and pavements, even in the city and suburbs.
Making fun of anything regardless if its offensive or not.
It is illegal to dress up as Robin and Batman.
Selling $2 hot dogs when everyone is voting for the new prime minster in the elections.
Getting fined if you don't vote in the elections.
Putting butter and sprinkles on bread to create fairy bread- our traditional dish.
Putting butter and Vegemite (a thick black Australian sauce) on bread to create another traditional dish: Vegemite and toast.
Eating a lot of fresh fish and ripe avocados. Avocado milkshakes are really common in Australia, and so is really good sushi.
Every pub has 2–4 Poker Machines minimum.
Eating burgers that have beetroot.
Getting attacked by magpies (a Australian bird), because you walked into their territory by accident.
