In MOST of the rest of rest of the world— yes. We are already seeing this. All advanced nations are returning to normal. Nations which had “one Covid-19 death” are returning to normal. In the U.S. we are still dealing with 627,244 dead bodies.
In “America” — also known as The United States of America” — no.
That is because of the very large and prolific propaganda campaign which is being run by a single human being — a man named Donald Trump.
The results are obvious — 30% of of the American citizens refusing to take a vaccine to save their own lives.
That is only happening in one nation on the planet.

Hell — we still cannot get fellow Americans who are Trump Supporters to even put a damned mask on.

This is an outside perspective, since I am from Sweden.
A year ago, I thought that vaccines would get life back to normal in the US. Then Trump lost the election, and vaccines became a partisan issue.
So now I don’t think vaccines will get life back to normal again, because half the electorate refuse them on ideological grounds. I fear that measles and even polio may make a comeback in the US because of it.

Until consensus builds that humans will win the fight against SARS CoV-2, all Earth-life is at some risk of catastrophe. We owe it to ourselves and all life to put this virus out of its misery, the sooner the safer.
Find ways to comply with the directions of experts is good advice for every person whose heart is not made of stone.

Here in Ireland most people are inoculated. From the end of October all Covid restrictions will be lifted. We’re going to be back to normal soon. We still have anti-mask, anti-vax idiots spouting their nonsense on social media but they are firmly (and thankfully) in the minority. Getting called a sheep by such idiots is a badge of honor.
America will get back to some semblance of normality but American prestige, American leadership will have been damaged. Why? There is a dark side to American culture. It is a culture of entitlement, of exceptionalism, of selfishness with it all mixed with a hearty amount of paranoia. For a country which purports to be a World leader then Covid has shown the US to be anything but. The Covid pandemic has exposed that there is a stark lack of community in the US e.g. "Why should I have to wear a mask to protect other people? If people are worried let them wear the damn mask or else they can stay at home". The idea of someone wearing a mask to stop the spread of a virus they might unknowingly have and mitigate the chances of infecting other people is lost on many. With this arrogant ignorance there was no sense of it being a national emergency and the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans simply became unwelcome statistics. Thousands of lives could have been saved with a coherent and partisan strategy of tackling a once in a lifetime health crisis and imploring Americans to help each other.
Among a large cohort of Americans there is complete antipathy to the concept of the "common good". Among such self-absorbed people their each and every decision is frxd entirely by the question "What's in it for me?". Obviously this is not a mindset which is exclusive to the US but it is in the US where it predominates mostly. With the vaccine this mindset will result in America eventually getting back to some sense of a true normal but unlike other countries who displayed leadership and responsibility for public health America's reputation and international prestige has now wilted. You only need look at the hyper-partisan politics to gauge how fractured the country now is.

Right at the moment I towards the end of my 10 day quarantine because I tested positive. I was never concerned because I got the vaccine and i was sick but I’ve colds worse.
