Agreed. Beavers do what beavers do. It might not be beneficial for humans in an immediate sense all the time, but it is beneficial for the environment. They create wetlands. The entire planet is (on average) warming and many areas are experiencing loss of ground water and/or desertification. Particularly where persistently intensive agriculture and settlement has occurred. Beavers actually mitigate soil degredation. I know it's hard for some people to understand because their livelihoods get ruined, but beavers aren't doing this to you. You're f*cking things up by being there. In essence, you're doing the f*ckery that beavers are trying to fix, if only by instinct. If I'm not mistaken, the only successful way of deterring beaver activity that impacts humans is by playing the sound of running water through a speaker buried in the place you actually *want* beavers to dam.

Tech support here. You've done the hard part already by getting it open, well done! All you need now is some paper, a pencil, and a magnifying glass. Look at the disc with the magnifying glass and you'll see lots of little 1's and 0's - just go round in a spiral starting from the outside and moving toward the centre, and write them all down with the pencil (you might want to make some coffee before you start, it's gonna take a while). Oh, and make sure you go anti-clockwise, otherwise the files will come out backwards, like your word documents will read from right to left and the people in your photos will all be facing the wrong way.

Anyways when I took mine in a few years ago for that repair I was told they could try to solder it back in place but that they had couldn't guarantee it would work or how long it would last. I paid $100 for the repair and it worked, for about 3 weeks. Then did this.
