The concept of reincarnation dates back several thousand years in Indian and some other Far Eastern societies to the time of the Vedas when there was pretty much zero understanding of the science of what happens during life and death. The idea that death was the end of life was unthinkable to these primitive people, and to the overwhelming majority of people back in the bronze age and before, the belief that life was just a part of a continuous cycle of existence was endemic.

People, predominantly but not exclusively from these religions, grow up and live their lives being told that the concept of reincarnation is true and surrounded by a society which believes the concept is true, and often it’s blind faith, ignorance, and fear of being singled out as being different, which keeps them believing in it.
As with so many other religious beliefs from around the world, I have to single out ignorance as being a major cause which keeps people still believing in ancient concepts such as this. In some societies this ignorance is a factor of poverty and extremely poor education, however in others I can only describe it as being wilful ignorance, the deliberate choice of completely unevidenced ancient belief and religious dogma over scientific evidence.
For reincarnation to be real, there would need to be:
The ability for consciousness or awareness to survive the death of the brain of the person or animal concerned - this is an impossibility. Admittedly we don’t yet fully know what consciousness is, but we do know that it’s an exceedingly complex function of the electrical and biochemical activity inside a living brain, and as far as we’re currently aware, only in the brain of certain higher mammals. The definition of death is when all electrical and biochemical activity in the brain ceases, and consequently everything which was ever held in that brain, vanishes. It doesn’t ‘go’ anywhere, it simply ceases to exist. This has been demonstrated experimentally perhaps hundreds of thousands of times.
The ability for a person’s or animal’s consciousness or awareness to exist both extracorporeally and immaterially - there is no mechanism which allows for such a thing even when related to a living brain, let alone a dead one. For this to happen, several of the fundamental laws of science would need to be violated, plainly impossible since it’s the inviolable nature of these fundamental laws which govern our own existence.

But simply believing in something, or wanting it to be true, does not make it true… There is absolutely zero evidence for such a thing; there’s absolutely zero possibility that such a thing as reincarnation - or any form of life after death - could occur.
Religion and religious beliefs such as this have a great deal to answer for, and certainly historically they’ve been one of, if not the, single largest cause of ignorance and lack of scientific progress this world has known.
The bottom line is that anyone who believes that reincarnation is possible is either gullible, deluded, has been religiously indoctrinated, or is just plain ignorant of the scientific facts, wilfully or not.
Thanks for the A2A.

How I learned this information is told in my book, “My Journey down the Reincarnation Highway”.As a young 18-year-old German soldier named Alfred Hindiman, I was shot and killed by the British in the month of February 1918 during a night action on the Western front. In my next life, I was born Otto Kostermann in Mandeln, Prussia during the month of February 1922. I served three years fighting on the Russian front until I was stabbed to death by a Russian in an Estonian farmhouse on the night of May 1, 1944. I was born in October 1956 in this life as an American. Our earth lives are custom-made physical 3-D dreams that we step into to learn spiritual lessons and to experience emotions. We can pick and choose any experience we want at any time period at any location on earth. Your soul determines when it comes back and if it comes back. You are in charge of your journey. Many souls choose not to experience Earth life because Earth life is one of the most difficult tests in the universe.

I felt a strong urge to believe in reincarnation when I was in my early twenties, which is when I first thought that the experience of one lifetime would be insufficient to learn all that this world has to offer.
Twenty years later, I was approached by two spirits who spoke to me through another person (this was directly, not channeled, and I had made no attempt to elicit the contact). They told me about the spirit world and our purpose here, and they confirmed my belief in both reincarnation and that there is an afterlife. They are my sources for what follows.
A human spirit will reincarnate only as another human; an animal spirit will reincarnate only as another animal of the same species. A human spirit will also have several reincarnations in other physical worlds, into the equivalent of a human life form.
人的灵魂转世只会成为另一个人;
My sources said that, over time, a spirit will attach to many lifetimes in order to learn the lessons that can only be learned in a physical existence, but their permanent home is the spirit world and they might spend many years or decades there between lifetimes. They described it as a place of opportunity, growth, and purpose within the illumination of the Light, which is an emanation of the Creator.
I was also told about a long-lost destiny named Michael. A few days later, I was told that he was dying. I reached out to him on a spiritual level and he saw me in a dream. Michael knew that he had known me before, and I knew that he had a son. Later, we both had visions of a past life we had shared, which my sources confirmed as accurate.

My Grandfather, as I mentioned, passed when I was twelve. He had dementia, gangrene and was deaf, dumb and blind after a series of strokes. On the day he died, I came home from school not ten minutes before he passed, and I have always sensed that he was waiting for me to get home safe before he left. (We were very close.)
Three years passed, and I''d just sat my final GCSE exam. I was leaving through the front doors of the school building with my best friend walking beside me on my right. We were both a little concerned, but not overly so, with our performance in the exam, but everything was utterly normal...
Until I heard, clear as day from my left side, my Grandfather say to me, "Don''t worry love, it''ll all be okay". I felt him put his arm around me and I quickly looked around.
There was nobody within twenty feet of me on my left side.
So yes, I believe in life after death. As for reincarnation, I was Atlantean last time round, a priestess. I''ve also been around in Arthurian times. My mother''s previous incarnation was as a Victorian flower girl.Anyway, reincarnation makes sense. Look at it this way: Nature recycles stars; why not souls?

and theres the question that many ppl ask. how do you explain people that claim to be a man trapped in a womans body or a woman trapped in a mans body? could it be possible that they were a man or a woman in their past life and brought some essence of it back into a new life?

The way we humans change clothes every day our soul changes body once the last physical body is torn away due to wear & tear of life. Nothing in this world is permanent. Change is an order of nature as you said ''recycled''. So, yes everything is in cycle & repeats itself when there is a favourable environment for it.

Yes, I’m spiritual, I’m out here, and I believe in reincarnation. No … it’s more than a belief; it’s a knowledge. I have knowledge of reincarnation.
I have had vivid glimpses into seven of my previous incarnations. I was a woman in one of them, and a man in the six others. My earliest memory was as an ancient Chinese peasant sailor, steering the helm of a doomed ship in a violent storm. I experienced the fright and trauma of drowning. About 20 Rosicrucians witnessed this reincarnation exercise, and most of them agreed that I had drowned at sea in a storm.Mostly my lives were as peasants (e.g., helping to build a pyramid in ancient Egypt), and only one as an aristocrat in about 1300 CE in France. I was in a big room in a castle, and I smelled the dusty floor-to-ceiling tapestries behind me, as I sat in a big chair facing a roaring fire.My most recent live (before this one) was as a landowner in South Carolina in the early 1800s. I was looking up a driveway to my wife, who was dressed in a billowy southern-belle gown. Later scenes for that life had my wife and me in a dining room, with three children running around and some servants in the background. A remarkable fact about this life is that I met in my current life the soul personality of my wife from the South Carolina one. She looked different, of course, but for certain I could tell that they were the same soul personalities. In this current life, she did not acknowledge that we had been married before, but, being Roman Catholic, she was biased against reincarnation. The other glimpses into my previous lives were uneventful.I wrote about these and related spiritual matters in my book I Believe: A Rosicrucian Looks at Christianity and Spirituality.

I do believe, though not because I recall any past lives, myself. My first son was stillborn at 5–6 months gestation. I had to go through labor and delivery to deliver my dead son, who had no developed brain stem. Approximately 2 years later, I gave birth to my son, Alex. He is now 30. At just shy of 2 years of age, he had a very limited vocabulary. His five ‘words’ were Mama, Dada, Baba for bottle, guy-guy for doggie, and meow-meow for the cat. I still ached, when I thought of the son I’d lost. I was playing on the living room floor with Alex, when he suddenly began speaking in complete sentences. He said he had been with ‘them’ looking down on me, saw me crying on a floral sofa in a red skirt with buttons, and that he wanted to come to me. He said he was told not to worry, that I’d be ok, and he would be with me soon. He described a clear bassinet type of carrier, that he could see through to view me. My son had never seen that sofa, which was several states away at my parent’s home. That red skirt was way too small for me, and had been given away long before he mentioned it. Suffice to say, I never shed another tear for my lost son, because I realized he was already back with me. Alex returned to using the same 5 words, and did not speak in complete sentences again for months. He has no memory of any of it, today. I don’t know if reincarnation applies to me, though I am certain my son was reincarnated. Because his first body was broken, God brought him back to us in a new body. Because that happened to Alex, I believe it can happen to others.

I am not sure about individual reincarnations but I see the fact(not a belief ) of reincarnation of belief systems. The moment a belief system or religion comes into existence, it seeks it''s continuity. It needs individuals to continue. For example there are around 6 billion individuals in the world. But at the levels of belief systems very few. Christianity may take 2 Billions, Islam may take 1.6 billions, Hinduism may take one billion, Buddhism may take 400 millions. Four religions take 5 billions. It means individuals are not living but religions are living in and though individuals. If I say I am a Christian it is the reincarnation of Christianity. If I say I am Muslim, it is the reincarnation of Islam, if I say I am a Hindu, it is the reincarnation of Hinduism. If I say I am Buddhist it is the reincarnation of Buddhism. Individuals come and go but religions continue. This is what I call reincarnation of belief systems. For me it is not a belief it is a fact .
When Christ said: I am the way, the truth and the life, he went beyond the reincarnation of belief systems. In reincarnation the past uses the present in order to go into the future. In incarnation the present manifests eternity. Jesus Christ lives the life of incarnation and invited everyone to do the same.

A human spirit will reincarnate only as another human; an animal spirit will reincarnate only as another animal of the same species. A human spirit will also have several reincarnations in other physical worlds, into the equivalent of a human life form.
人的灵魂转世只会成为另一个人;
