And that doesn''''t even touch on the fact that these seem to have a very sketchy battery system that may catch on fire just sitting in the garage!!

I drive a lot and have four misc vehicles and working on another one (a project) and I don''''t do a lot of the maintenance you mentioned, I change oil every 7500 miles (synth), I fill my tank pretty much every 800-950 miles (diesel) and I have never done a brake job before 50k miles.
So I don''''t understand how paying an outrageous price for something that literally looks like a cut down shoe box on wheels (i.e. ugly as sin) gets you anything but a vehicle that 1) cost a lot 2) has no service / repair facility at all and most importantly 3) has a power train that is vulnerable to outages in our very old and rickety power grid. And that doesn''''t even touch on the fact that these seem to have a very sketchy battery system that may catch on fire just sitting in the garage!!
To me that smells a lot like disaster or at the very least misspent money. And I would encourage you to tell your household insurer that you have one because I''''m almost positive they''''ll want to adjust the rates on your house to reflect that you have a possible fire starter in the garage.

EV''''s will still have maintenance requirements, just different ones...and you''''ll still have suspension, and tires...oh and bumpers that fall off because they don''''t drain water or road dirt, because no one is looking underneath your car to make sure you don''''t have sand/dirt build up....lmao.
